Bluey

Welcome Bluey!  This cute little guy is an 8 month old Blue Merle Mini Australian Shepherd  who was likely purchased from a puppy mill and found himself in a shelter due to no fault of his own.

 

We have found that this little puppy is able to share toys and treats, good with dogs and absolutely adorable. We have found him to be house and crate trained in his foster home. 

​

Bluey is a great leash walker who pulls out his leash from the basket when he is looking to go out. He is very well behaved, but like all puppies, he can get into things, so puppy proofing is very important. 

 

We hope we can change his life and find a loving forever home where he will be loved and cherished as he should be. Bluey is neutered, current on shots, microchipped and has his bags packed, ready to go home

Bobby

Bobby was found as a stray and brought to a shelter where he quickly became a favorite of volunteers and staff due to his friendly nature. He patiently waited for a family to come but his time there was up. NJSH Rescue was contacted to save him and Bobby is now safe.

 

He is well-behaved, easy to handle, and good with other dogs and people.  Bobby is about 3 1/2 years old, 55 pounds, is good on leash and a joy to be with. He is in a loving foster home and enjoying his time there. Bobby loves his bed and loves his toys too.

 

He passed all temperament tests and is a very good boy!! Bobby is neutered, current on his shots and microchipped. Check out his training video here! ​

Brody

Brody is about 3 years old and 55 pounds.  He was adopted as a young puppy (see his last few pictures) but was recently returned to us because the family had no time for him.

 

Brody likes toys and car rides and is great with other dogs having attended doggy daycare in his last home. True to his breed, he is a herder and loves the outdoors. A family with herding breed experience would be best for him.

Cooper

Cooper is 8 years old and about 23 pounds. He is affectionate, crate trained, enjoys toys and playing fetch, walks nicely on leash and enjoys car rides. Cooper was raised in one home since he was a puppy. His life there was very stressful which led to him being fearful of loud noises.  He will need a quiet environment with someone who will give him time and space to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. 

 

Cooper is neutered, current on his shots, microchipped, loving, warm and friendly.

Do you live alone, have no other animals, have a fenced in yard and are able to put him away when you have company?  If so, Cooper may be the dog for you. 

 

He is an excellent companion, he just can’t take a lot of excitement.

Duke

Duke is a 7-year-old treeing walker coonhound who was found as a stray in rural NC. He is a beautiful leash walker and would be a great hiking companion for someone.  Duke is very affectionate and happy. He enjoys his family and although he loves to be outdoors he also enjoys a soft bed !!

 

Duke has very manageable resource guarding in a home environment- so he will need an experienced adopter and a child-free home, which is a shame because he loves children and is very gentle with them.

 

He can go anywhere with you as he is very friendly and fun.

Duke is a great looking dog and an enjoyable walk he also excels being part of a pack, loves people, and is cat friendly too!!.

Fiona

Fiona is about 6 years old and a great size at just 36 lbs. She was found as a stray and clearly had multiple litters of puppies. We assume she was tossed out when she was no longer needed. Despite this, Fiona is so lovable and gets along well with other dogs and even cats.

 

Fiona is very sweet, gentle and loving to everyone. She is food motivated, loves her treats and is very people focused. Fiona likes to be pet and cuddles in close to get them. We know you can't resist her adorable underbite!! Fiona has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

 

Fiona is currently in a loving foster home where she is receiving much love and care while she waits to find a family of her own!  She is so ready to start the chapter of her life where she is a loved family member.

Flash

Flash is a charming 9 yr old poodle with a heart full of love. He has faced his share of challenges after losing his home. Although a kind family member tried to step in, they could not meet his needs. Flash arrived at the shelter nervous and severely matted.

Flash has found comfort in a kind and patient foster home where he is now thriving. His ideal home would be with adults and perhaps older teens who can offer him a calm predictable environment. Flash’s owner was a male and so Flash is most comfortable with them.

Kiki

Meet Kiki!  Kiki is about 2 years old and 15 lbs. Her previous owner surrendered her and her brother, Kiko, when they were found living outside by animal control. They are NOT a bonded pair and will be adopted out to individual homes to live the beautiful lives they both deserve.  

 

Despite their harsh beginnings, Kiki and Kiko are sweet affectionate dogs but will understandably need a bit of time to decompress after all the recent changes they have been through. Kiki is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.

Mari

​​Mari was brought to the shelter by someone who found her in a church parking lot. She was terrified at the shelter and the staff and volunteers were wonderful with her. She happily trotted out of the shelter with us and is ready to begin anew!  

 

Mari is about 5 years old and a Jack Russell terrier mix — we really aren’t too sure about breed but we are sure she is a sweet and loving dog. She is 13 pounds and good with both cats and dogs.  This affectionate girl would do best in a home with another dog to keep her company or a family that is home most of the time.

 

Mari is UTD, spayed,  microchipped and ready to go home with you!

Penny

Meet Penny! Penny is about 5 years old and 10 pounds. She is housetrained, crate trained and gets along with other dogs, but no cats for this cutie. She loves to run, play, cuddle and is great on a leash.

Penny was picked up as a stray in South Jersey. Sadly, her family never came looking for her. When Penny was found, her right rear leg had already been removed. She hasn't shared with us what happened and that's OK because that part of her life is behind her.

 

This little girl is ready to start a new chapter, one with a family that will love her FURever!  

An adopter with Rat Terrier experience will be best for Penny!

Rusty Poodle

Rusty Poodle was surrendered to the shelter by the only family he has ever known. They said they were losing their home. He did not take it very well and was struggling at the shelter. We were asked if we could help him out. We have learned quite a lot about him during his time with us. Rusty does not want to share his things with other dogs. So he will need to be an only dog. Humans can take whatever they want from him. Rusty will need an experienced owner in an all adult home as an only dog. We think that he needs to feel safe again in a home of his own with someone willing to give him a chance. Rusty is 6 years old and only 9.6 pounds - he is tiny but fiesty!

Sandy

Sandy is a senior cocker spaniel, estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 35 lbs., who desperately needs a loving home to enjoy her golden years. She has some lumps and bumps (fatty tumors-non-cancerous) on her body and is the sweetest girl. Sandy is great with cats and dogs though she would do best in a home without small children. Sandy is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and housetrained. 

 

Sandy has Cushing's disease and takes a daily dose of Vetoryl. Sandy is quiet, calm, and just needs a loving home where she can spend her golden years.   Let’s give Sandy the golden years she deserves!
